Yella Beezy now struggles with grief on top of a murder case. On Friday, the rapper was reportedly absent from a preliminary hearing for his alleged role in Mo3’s murder. Two days later, he opened up about his mother’s death in a touching social media post.

Yella Beezy writes emotional message after her mother’s death
On Sunday, Yella Beezy uploaded 20 slides of memories featuring his mother, from selfies with him and his grandchild to FaceTime screenshots. The rapper expressed his pain over losing his “mom…sister…best friend…the world and everything.” Right now he feels “empty,” Beezy wrote. He added that this is the first time she has disappointed him by leaving him when he needs her the most.
“I wouldn’t wish this pain on my worst enemy…. My BaccBone, my life…. How am I supposed to live without you? Who am I supposed to talk to every day? Send reels too? Who am I supposed to argue with? It’s been you and me against the world since I was born. Can no one wage war over me like you can. Stand up for me, protect me and protect my name through everything. God, you don’t make mistakes and I won’t will never question you I will never go against you and I will never doubt you but I’m hurt and lost and I need your strength mom the first time you let me down because why would you let me know I need you 🥲…baby I’m torn!!!
Yella Beezy wrote that he will miss their chats, his vibe, the way she lights up a room, her smile and the way she stands by him and their family. Even though it all seems unfair, the rapper said he’s convinced his mother is in heaven.

After The Shade Room reposted Yella Beezy’s touching message, more than 6,000 housemates, including celebrities, offered their condolences. Porsha Williams And Tommy Lee dropped the prayer hand emojis and Ayesha Howard-who shares children with Lil Baby and Anthony Edwards- wrote: “May God lift him up in this time of mourning.”

Rapper absent from court in Mo3 case amid mother’s death
According to Fox 4 KDFWYella Beezy withdrew from her court appearance on Friday (January 16) following the death of her mother. A pretrial hearing was scheduled in connection with his alleged role in the murder-for-hire plot that led to Mo3’s death in 2020. His attorneys and prosecutors are expected to return to court this week with pretrial motions and potential trial dates. His jury trial is scheduled to begin Feb. 2, but that date could change.
As previously reportedPolice arrested Yella Beezy in March 2025, accusing her of orchestrating the “hit” on Mo3. The rapper was shot and killed on November 11, 2020, while driving in Dallas. Beezy walked out on $750,000 bail last year after it was reduced by $2 million. He is currently under house arrest with electronic monitoring. His bail conditions allow him to continue working in music, including leaving the house once a week for up to five hours to go to the studio. His latest single “Blame It On Me” was released in September 2025.
