Which tracker stars are returning – and not returning – for season 4 after releases?

That of Justin Hartley Tracker faced many surprise exits from the cast – so who is and does not return for season 4?

The hit CBS series, premiering in February 2024, features fictional survivor Colter (Hartley) as he travels the country to help solve various missing persons cases. The ensemble cast grew with characters such as Handlers Teddi (Robin Weigert) and Velma (Abby McEnany), the computer hacker Bobby (Eric Graisé) and lawyer Reenie (Fiona Rene).

Weigert’s character was struck off and McEnany and Graise soon followed.

“I think it’s evolving. If I can’t evolve these characters – Randy or Reenie or Bobby – they’re not just people picking up the phone and saying, ‘OK, here’s the answer.’ That’s when the show calls it quits,” executive producer Elwood Reid told exclusively Us every week in May 2025. “The challenge is when you have to learn more about them, which I found interesting. That’s the challenge of the show, is to not let it fall into a formula.”

Justin Hartley’s hit series Tracker has lost several main characters after just two seasons – but who is still left of the cast? “The only rule I really have on the show is that every week, Colter will come to a new place and there will be a new case. How he gets those answers and what he uses on the team, that’s all something that’s up for grabs,” Reid teased. “Meeting these [local] queer characters are something we’re going to try to do more of as the season goes on. Just Colter coming in and interacting with other characters. It’s fun to see Justin flex his muscles with some really good guest actors.

Most recently, Reid weighed in on the on-screen changes. “What we realize is that there are characters that pop up and if it worked we would bring them back,” he said. We in December 2025. “I think the show can’t always do that. But when it does, the world feels a little more connected.”

Reid noted that there was only one constant in the series: Hartley’s fan-favorite character.

“The audience is interested in him because they’ve seen this character before. But I think they still think that the core DNA of the show is Colter. With this guy, what makes him appealing is that he’s a mystery to himself,” he added. “He is a mystery to the audience. We see him and his spare moments putting together some pieces of his past.”

He concluded, “I don’t know if we’ll ever get it all together, but it’s going to be hard to keep doing it. That’s all we thought. The biggest improvement we made this year – in my opinion – was bringing people together in the same room. Just that connectivity, I think the audience likes to physically see their characters in the same place.”
