Lottery scratch cards. UK National Lottery operator Allwyn partners with grocery service Gopuff for scratch card delivery

National Lottery Operator Scratch Cards White will be available to order as part of Gopuff instant grocery deliveries.

A new partnership between Allwyn and Gopuff means customers can add scratch cards to their orders, delivered with your order in just 15 minutes. The launch begins in 16 cities across England and Wales.

Gopuff offers instant delivery of thousands of everyday essentials, such as groceries, cleaning supplies, toiletries, drinks and now scratch cards.

“We’re always looking for ways to respond to the ever-changing retail environment and the changing way people shop for groceries – with ease and convenience being key factors. And through this new partnership with Gopuff, that’s exactly what we’re doing,” said Alison Acquaye-Acford, Allwyn’s director of retail and customer sales.

“We’re making it even easier for existing National Lottery players to get the games they want to play, quickly and securely,” she continued. “But we’re also looking to make the most of Gopuff’s presence in cities, reaching new customers who already shop through the platform. All of this helps us continue to build on the £32 million raised on average every week for good causes – which is what the National Lottery is all about.”

Security restrictions remain in place for scratch card purchases

Identity checks will be in place for all scratch card purchases, as will the purchase of other age-restricted products through Gopuff. Allwyn’s limit of 10 scratch cards per transaction is also still in place for these online orders, first introduced in 2024.

“At Gopuff, we are constantly striving to improve the customer experience and offer our consumers more of what they love in minutes,” said Alberto Menolascina, senior vice president of UK and new business at Gopuff. “This new partnership with Allwyn allows us to do just that.

“Since launching the pilot program last month, our customers have shown immediate interest in this new offering. This is instant commerce in action, giving customers what they want, when they want it, in a secure and convenient way.”

Allwyn, best known for its operation of the traditional British National Lottery, has recently moved into more online-focused services, with its recent acquisition of fantasy sports operator PrizePicks.
