It seems like TI is entering a whole new era – or maybe it’s turning the block on an old one. He dropped a video on Instagram on Saturday, January 18, showing him in a barber chair, and without even showing his face, he let his locks hit the floor. Then he finally appears on camera, revealing a new faint fade. Fans immediately declared that Tip was returning to his rubber band man days with his haircut. The quick flash of his Air Force 1s sealed the deal and sent people straight back to the early 2000s. TI kept the caption short and let the visuals do the talking, writing, “He’s Baaaaaaack!!!!” He also added #LetEmKnow, which immediately led fans to think this teaser was related to new music that might be on the way.

TI’s hair recently took over the timeline
TI’s hair has already been a trending topic. Last December, a video surfaced online caused confusion after showing a man who looked like him on stage at a concert with a visible bald spot on the back of his head. The clip shows the man taking off his hat, then TI’s “Swagger Like Us” begins blasting. Fans immediately went into detective mode, assuming it was indeed Tip.
But when he stopped by the “Streetz Morning Takeover” radio show, he quickly set the record straight. TI said he watched the video and immediately ran to the mirror to check. But even with all that, he found it funny and decided not to talk about it online, but kept his hat off for a minute.
“It’s a comedy, I laughed. It wouldn’t be funny if it was true. I didn’t even answer it, I just took off my hat and walked around,” TI told the radio crew.
