South African school no longer calls in hopes of improving students’ concentration




After seeing a sharp increase in attention deficit disorder among students over the past five years, a Cape Town high school has decided to put an end to telephone use. Expecting a violent reaction, there was none. It comes as more countries are concerned about the impact of phone and social media use on the learning ability and concentration of children and adolescents. So far, 400 South African schools have adopted this measure.
