“One of my very close family members lost everything in their house fire,” the GoFundMe organizer posted on the page. “Mia, Jessie and Keith lost the home where Mia and Jessie are raising their 5 month old child. Mia’s father, Keith, works every day to support his family. Keith is the sole provider for his children. He lost everything in the house fire with his truck. He has no way to work to support his family. All vehicles are gone. Please, if you can help in any way possible it will be greatly appreciated appreciated. This family needs so much prayer and help right now.

Mia remains grateful to the passerby who saw smoke and decided to get her family’s attention.

“She wasn’t even a neighbor. She was just passing the stop sign and she saw it,” she remembers. “Thank God she came and said something, otherwise it might have been a completely different story.”
