President Trump was in Iowa today to talk about the border closure and security and law and order across the country, including, by the way, in Minnesota, reminding everyone that “even in Minnesota, crime is down.”
And he also talks about the Trump boom. Even today, the S&P is at an all-time high, as the Trump boom continues with his business boom, his productivity boom, his profits boom, his AI boom, and falling energy and gasoline prices. The press wants to focus on the rise of gold and the fall of the dollar. But these things come full circle, and I don’t think the dollar will stay weak as the economy continues to grow.
Mr. Trump also proudly proclaimed that virtually no one is crossing the border and that the country today is safer than ever, even in Minnesota, where there has been so much opposition to deporting criminals. Mr. Trump sent his border czar, Tom Homan, work with local authoritiesbut you know what? If they think the laws won’t be enforced, they’ll have something else to do. And if they think they can beef up sanctuary city protection for criminals and the worst of the worst, they’re wrong.
There are federal laws in place and these laws must be enforced. The rule of law must never be rejected. The force structure charged with enforcing our immigration laws could be reduced, but so far no one, including the president, is talking about ending those forces.

As the President said, where ICE, the National Guard, or other law enforcement agencies have been deployed, the results have been excellent. Washington, DC, was the first success, but there are many others, including Minnesota.
And as the president posted on Truth Social: “In the five Republican states of Texas, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee and Louisiana, ICE has arrested 150,245 illegal aliens over the past year – with ZERO protests, riots or chaos. For what ? Because local police and ICE cooperate and work together.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche blamed most of the problems in Minneapolis, throughout Minnesota, on sanctuary jurisdictions, in which Democratic local and state governments prohibit local law enforcement from cooperating with federal law enforcement on immigration matters. Texas, the state where the majority of illegal immigrants reside, cooperates with federal authorities and has not experienced these problems. Minneapolis, which owns a small fraction but refuses to cooperate, has huge problems. What does that tell you? How about: obey the laws.
