Kristen Stewart is considering leaving the United States because of President Donald Trump.
The “Twilight” actress revealed in an interview with The times that she cultivates her directing career around the possibility of creating films in Europe because she “can’t work freely” in America.
His first film, “The Water Timeline,” was filmed in Latvia because “it would have been impossible to do in the United States.”
Stewart added that Trump’s threat to impose tariffs on films made outside the country is “terrifying” for the film industry.

“Reality is completely collapsing under Trump,” she said. “But we should take a page from his book and create the reality we want to live in.”
The bi-coastal actress – who spends time in Los Angeles and New York – admitted she “probably wouldn’t” live in the United States much longer.
“I can’t work freely there,” Stewart said. “But I don’t want to give up completely. I’d like to make films in Europe and then feed them to the American people.”

Stewart has struggled to make the film since she first announced the project in 2018 at the Cannes Film Festival, but said Porter Magazine in 2024 that she was planning to film in Latvia.

His history with the president dates back more than a decade. While dating “Twilight” co-star Robert Pattinson, Stewart was involved in a cheating scandal with her then-married “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders.
Trump then issued a series of tweets, including: “Robert Pattinson should not take Kristen Stewart back. She cheated on him like a dog and will do it again – just watch. He can do a lot better!”
Trump followed up a few days later with another message on the platform and wrote: “Everyone knows I’m right that Robert Pattinson should dump Kristen Stewart. In a few years he’ll thank me. Be smart, Robert.”
