On Monday, January 19, Jelenny Tejada took to Instagram to share a video post with her over 203,000 followers. Additionally, the post showed Tejada holding a jewelry box with a ring inside. The ring featured a large sparkling halo cut stone and a gold band.
“@iamkevingates I upgraded my wedding ring AHHHHHHH I’m obsessed😍😍😍 I love youuuuuu!! & I love being your wife 🥹👰🏽♀️,” she captioned the post while shouting out to her husband.

Kevin Gates upgraded his new wife’s ring after airing Dreka Gates and their divorce last week
As The shadow room previously reported, Dreka Gates made headlines in July 2025 when TMZ reported that she filed for divorce from Kevin Gates. This, it seems, after ten years of marriage and citing “irreconcilable differences”. Additionally, Dreka listed their separation date as July 10, 2025 and emphasized her desire to receive spousal support while blocking support for Kevin.
In October 2025, it was reported that Dreka was seeking “$27,193 per month in child support” for their two sons and “$46,274 per month in spousal support.” Additionally, it was revealed that her divorce filing accused Kevin of dismantling their family’s “financial foundation” in late 2021. According to Dreka, Kevin allegedly “stopped paying basic family obligations such as property taxes and their children’s private school tuition.” This, while he would still have purchased luxury vehicles and properties.
It should be noted that in her filing, Dreka indicated that she wanted primary custody of their sons, at least if only temporarily, as they had spent the last two years with Kevin. In response to his filing, Kevin reportedly claimed that he and Dreka were never legally married.
Then, last week, Kevin took to social media, alleging that he and Dreka have been separated since 2020. Additionally, he said that she only filed for divorce after he stopped giving him money. Additionally, he accused Dreka and her family of stealing money from him, while she was allegedly in a new relationship.
