Now, social media is resurfacing after spilling some of its own tea. The rapper finally addressed his divorce with Dreka doorsand his comments are making people rethink everything they thought they knew about their separation.

Kevin Gates is opening up about his split from Dreka Gates and the internet is sitting up!
Kevin Gates went on a full-blown rant on social media, announcing his divorce from Dreka Gates. He didn’t hold back at all, accusing her of having “damaged his image.” He also challenged his ex-wife to “tell the truth” about their alleged Islamic marriage. Kevin also made it clear that they have been separated since 2020.
Things got spicy after that when he called her to file for divorce, saying she only did it after he stopped giving him money. Kevin claimed that Dreka and her family allegedly stole money and that he continued to hold her down while she pursued a new relationship. He also said he was tired of her spreading false information and told her that if she wanted to talk about him, she had to tell the facts. “Tell them the truth […] because you are a goddess. You are nothing but a goddess of manipulation and darkness. Tell the truth.
He didn’t stop there. He doubled down on his demands for money, saying Dreka used his money to open a dispensary that failed. Overall, he admitted he was tired of the false narratives and was done being portrayed as a deadbeat dad.
“When you’re doing interviews, don’t even bring up my name. Tell them how you stole my money to open a dispensary and it hadn’t even been open a month.”
Where is Dreka in all this?
Dreka Gates has yet to respond to Kevin’s rant. But before he disappeared, she served him with divorce papers in July 2025, after nearly a decade together. TMZ reported she cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their breakup. In addition to this, she requested spousal support and joint legal and physical custody of their two children – Islah and Khaza. Dreka allegedly required Kevin to pay $27,193 per month in child support and $46,274 per month in spousal support. At the time, Kevin called Dreka’s claims “without factual basis” and said they were never legally married. But TMZ reports that the two tied the knot in October 2015.
Kevin’s love life has the internet talking
Before Kevin addressed his divorce from Dreka, fans immediately pointed him out for dating Brittany Renner. In March 2025, people were wondering where he stood with Dreka while he watched really cozy with Brittany. But their relationship was ultimately short-lived. Brittany revealed in an interview that they were only married 52 days and were reportedly divorced in May 2025. In December 2025, Kevin moved on to have a new baby, Jelenny Tejadawho he later confirmed was in fact his new wife. Since then, he has continued to post videos with Jelenny and she even appeared in his latest music video, “Real N***a Holiday.”
