Kelly Clarkson announces her talk show will end after 7 seasons


The Kelly Clarkson Show is coming to an end.

Kelly Clarkson announced Monday February 2 that she Emmy Award-winning daytime talk show will end after its seventh season, currently airing.

“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such a remarkable group of people at TKCSin Los Angeles and New York. There have been so many incredible moments and performances over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest group and crew you could hope for, to all the talented and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, to all the fans who have supported our show, and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner,” Clarkson, 43, wrote via Instagram.

She continued: “Because of all of this, this hasn’t been an easy decision – but this season will be my last hosting. TKCS. Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my children, which I feel is necessary and appropriate for this next chapter of our lives.

Clarkson went on to note that “this isn’t goodbye,” adding that she will “continue to make music, play gigs here and there, and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time…you never know where I might appear next.”

She concluded, “But for now, I want to thank you so much for allowing our show to be a part of your life, for believing in us and sticking with us for seven incredible years.”

The Kelly Clarkson Show premiered in September 2019. The host recorded the first four seasons of the nationally syndicated series in Los Angeles before move to New York in October 2023.

Clarkson opened most episodes of her talk show with her beloved “Kellyoke” segment, which saw the American idol covers of songs by old artists, including Celine Dion, The weekend, Whitney Houston And Billie Eilish.
