Fetty Wap leaves prison and focuses on music

In a recent interview with “The Breakfast Club,” Fetty made it clear that he had no plans to rap about his time behind bars.

“Honestly, I don’t think it matters,” he explained. “I did my time. There’s a lot of rappers who went to prison – I mean, I hate saying it like that – who came home. If they chose to talk about their shit in prison, that’s them…”

Fetty said guys in jail we always pushed him to stay productive and inspired: “”In 20 days I want to hear something new about the computer,'” he continued. “This is the type of motivation I had.” He also shared that his creative process has evolved. “[My writing] will change, I guess. It’s always going to change, especially when you’re trying to be creative. I just feel like I appreciate music more,” he said. Fans can probably expect his future projects to reflect this new mindset – still undeniably Fetty, but with an emphasis on growth and artistry rather than past struggles.
