While we’ve gotten a sneak peek at a few Xbox Game Studios projects over the past week Developer Direct Eventneither Bethesda nor Activision Blizzard made an appearance. Fans of several Blizzard franchises won’t have to wait too long to experience the sequel to their favorite games, however, as the publisher has hosted several showcases to mark its 35th anniversary.
Developer-led streams will include “major game announcements,” according to Blizzard. They will all be released in the coming weeks. Here’s where and when you can watch each stream:
With Blizzard not hosting BlizzCon in either 2024 or 2025, announcements at these showcases should help fill the gap until the event. returns in September. “This is just the beginning of what we will share around our games this year,” said Blizzard President Johanna Faries.
THE Wow the showcase will take place a little over a month before the Midnight expansion arrives March 2. Among other things, developers share their roadmaps for modern and classic WoW.
Monitoring 2 has teased a takeover of the game by the villainous Talon faction, and with the next season only a few weeks away, we’ll surely hear more about it. Maybe Blizzard will reveal Overwatch’s mobile spinoff (and hopefully an animated series) here too.
The second Diablo IV expansion, Lord of Hateis set to arrive on April 28 with a new campaign and courses, so expect to learn more during this franchise’s showcase. Hearth fans will also soon have a better idea of what to expect from this matchup this year.
