Bella Hadid condemned luxury fashion house Dolce & Gabbana in a scathing social media post.
Reply to a Instagram video shared by French fashion commentator Lyas, real name Elias Medininion Sunday, January 18, Hadid, 29, acknowledged that Dolce & Gabbana has not adopted an inclusive brand philosophy, while adding her take on how the company is publicly perceived. “Shocked people still support this company, it’s embarrassing,” the model wrote in the comments section of the post. “Models/stylists/casting, all that.”
Hadid, who has not walked Dolce & Gabbana shows in the past but has appeared in several garments produced by the brand over the years, expanded on her thoughts in a second comment on the post. “It’s been canceled…years of racism, sexism, bigotry, xenophobia…how are we still shocked?” she also wrote.

Hadid’s first comment on the post, in which Medini, 26, called the brand’s Fall/Winter 2026 men’s show in Milan on Saturday, January 17, “50 shades of white,” attracted more than 40,000 likes and 260 replies in the hours that followed.
One fan wrote in response: “OMG the QUEEN you are. RISKING your amazing career over and over again to tell the TRUTH!”, while another added: “Yes queen this should have been canceled years ago.”

One person commented: “For many people in the industry, doing the show just means being able to pay rent, saying ‘no’ is a privilege. Another social media user warned: “Bella be careful.”
The model, who has incorporated a Western theme into her ensembles during various public outings in 2025, was last seen wearing Dolce & Gabbana in October last year. Going out to New York right before her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show During her appearance, Hadid wore equestrian-themed pants designed and originally released by the brand as part of its Spring 2001 collection. (Kim Kardashian then reinvented the design as part of its Dolce & Gabbana 2023 collaboration.)
In February 2025, Hadid also wore Dolce & Gabbana heeled boots while out in West Hollywood, California. The shoes were part of a short-lived brand launched by the fashion house and featured large butterfly designs.
Hadid’s public comments about the brand aren’t the first time the model has lashed out at a high-profile fashion brand. In 2019, she told the Vogue Fashion Festival in Paris that she “never felt powerful” when modeling lingerie until she walked the runway at New York Fashion Week in 2019. Bella also spoke about her involvement in an Adidas 2024 campaign that was widely criticized for what the brand called an “unintentional” reference to the 1972 Munich Olympics. Bella said publicly after the campaign aired, “I am shocked, upset and disappointed at the lack of sensitivity in this campaign. I would never knowingly engage in any art or work related to any horrible tragedy.”
The 1972 sporting event saw 11 Israeli athletes, a West German police officer and five terrorists killed in an attack dubbed the Munich Massacre.
