A clip of Aspen Kartier’s Twitch livestream began circulating online Thursday morning, quickly grabbing the attention of viewers on multiple platforms. In the video, Aspen notices her dog outside his crate and asks: “How do you get out of the cage?” » Moments later, she grabs the dog and appears to hit it several times live. Even though the dog then disappears from the camera’s field of view, viewers can still hear the animal crying in the background.
Shortly after the clip went viral, Aspen’s Twitch account was no longer accessible. Multiple reports indicate that she has been suspended from the platform indefinitely. As of now, Twitch has not publicly confirmed how long the suspension will last or whether the account will be reinstated.
Aspen responds to online outrage and appears to deny allegations
As the clip continued to circulate, social media users flooded comment sections calling for permanent consequences and condemning what they described as animal cruelty. Aspen then addressed the situation on her Instagram Stories, posting a video of her dog saying: “Tell them you’re okay.” In another clip, she appeared to throw money at the dog, a gesture that many viewers interpreted as dismissive.
Hours later, Aspen denied claims that she “trampled” on the dog, a description reported by some media, but admitted to hitting the animal, calling the incident “slap.”
In what many viewers considered a trolling move, Aspen also uploaded a photo of her dog on Andra Day’s show “Rise Up.” The legend said, “We will defeat these allegations” intensification of criticism on social networks.
