Several points of sale now report that Kathryn Hahn, star of Marvel Studios shows WandaVision And Agatha throughoutis in talks to play Mother Gothel in the live-action remake of Tangled. Finding the film’s villain was next on the agenda, earlier this weekDisney has announced the casting of its two protagonists, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. They will be played by newcomers Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim. But, of course, Rapunzel doesn’t get stuck in that tower without Gothel’s bad intentions, so it’s a key role, and who better than Hahn, who already has all the witch cred in the world thanks to her Marvel role?
THE Tangled The remake had a somewhat rocky road to get to this point. (Like the Witches Route, perhaps? Cue another song.) Disney has not set a release date for Tangledbut we’d venture to guess that the studio hopes to release it perhaps by summer or fall of 2027. Meanwhile, another Disney princess is moving from live-action to animation. Moana hits theaters on July 10.
