Under the bridgeIt is Daisy Kelliher called Ben Robinson outside to live in the guest cabins – but was the chef actually allowed to reside there?
“This season is struggling with my big challenges [had to do with Ben]”, Daisy said exclusively Us every week before the series returns on Monday February 2. “Ben is an interesting person to work with. He’s really fun, he’s got a great personality and he’s great for television. But he’s definitely a challenge.”
Daisy recognized the similarities between her and Ben.
“Maybe we’re both just as stubborn as each other,” she noted. “[Our issues were] a bit of all these things. It was the guest cabin, it was the way he ran his team and the way he ran his kitchen. There were challenges with communication – hence timing and not viewing the service in the same way. Honestly, there have been a lot of difficulties and challenges.
Despite their issues, Daisy said Ben is “a hard person to stay mad at,” adding, “But neither of us wanted any animosity, and I think we both really wanted to give the best for the guests. Since that was our main goal, we were always able to come back to it and say, ‘OK, look, we like each other. We have the same goal. How can we achieve that?'”
She continued, “But I think towards the end of the season, I was frustrated. We had some push-ups, and there were definitely arguments. It’s hard because I was trying to do a good job – like him. Honestly, everything was a challenge.”

The season 4 trailer surprised viewers because Daisy accused Ben of “living in the guest cabins.” By speaking to Weshe clarified the issue by saying, “It was pretty much every night off. He didn’t move in, but he moves in pretty much every night off.”
Daisy remembers having to “choose” his battles with Ben.
“I gave up. Even [Captain] Jason [Chambers] it’s like, “Let it go and pick your battles.” » There was so much more going on. It felt like it was a small thing to discuss, but I guess I wouldn’t let it go and he wouldn’t let it go,” she continued. “He gets a guest dress, but he does it to annoy me and he makes it his. As you’ll see throughout the season, he carries it around the boat to cheer me up. So of course I can’t let it go. I think he was doing things to push me to the limit throughout the season.
The chief stew had already teased We the oresult of his back and forth with Ben.
“I started the season taking no prisoners. I knew what I wanted. I didn’t want to be made a fool of, so I really came in with that mindset,” Daisy teased in November 2025. “Ben challenged me and he’s not easy to work with.”
Daisy praised her time with Ben despite the challenges, which she said We eventually resulted in a friendly relationship.
“I think he respected me, too. So, I think I’ve really evolved as a stew boss and as a person — and it hasn’t been easy. I don’t like confrontation, but I need it. I was so sure of what I wanted to achieve,” she said at the time. “I was like, ‘I’m not letting any of the crew get in the way of what I’m trying to do this season.’ We compete and it’s work [drama]. Now I was drinking with him at the bar.
More recently, Daisy spoke out on I might work with Ben again..
“It’s always a difficult question. If you had asked me nine months ago, I probably would have said no. But now time has passed,” she added. “I would. Ben is a great leader, whether he works with me or not. We got through the season and gave each other great advice. It wouldn’t be a show if we weren’t at each other’s throats.”
