Grammys Host Hints at Kendrick Lamar and Drake Beef

For his sixth and final time presenting the Grammy Awards, Trevor Noah I didn’t remember the layered jokes! A little shadow here, a few kisses there. Noah locked the audience in and did not spare his insults to President Donald Trump. Meanwhile, he played it safe with artists like Kendrick Lamar.
The host made other celebrities laugh after explaining to K. Dot why he didn’t write jokes that roasted him! Hint: the reason involves Duck.

Later, across the country, after the Grammys, Trump spoke out about Trevor Noah’s jabs. As expected, the president threatened to file a complaint. The Recording Academy announced less than three weeks ago that Noah would return “one last time.” Noah said during the show, “I believe in term limits.”

Kendrick Lamar is all smiles as Trevor Noah references Drake Beef

Trevor Noah, like the previous Grammys, wowed the crowd with his hosting skills! At one point during the show, Noah got cozy with the biggest nominee of the night, Kendrick Lamar. No jokes, only congratulations and an explanation that made the audience angry!

“I actually thought about writing a few jokes about you, but then I remembered what you can do to light-skinned guys from other countries,” said Noah, originally from South Africa. “Yes, my delegation and I are still recovering from the pain.”

If you didn’t understand, Trevor Noah was referring to Kendrick Lamar Ox 2024 with Drakewho inspired the Grammy-winning hit “Not Like Us.” Drizzy is still fighting for his life in 2026. Last month, he filed an appeal against the dismissal of his defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group, for the distribution of the song.

Trevor takes aim at Trump with Epstein Island comment, president applauds

Trump’s jabs started in Trevor Noah’s monologue and continued after that. Noah said during his monologue that Lauryn Hill was performing on the show for the first time since 1999. Then came the Trump AND Diddy slights.

“Do you understand how long it’s been?” he said. “In 1999, the president had a sex scandal, people thought computers were about to destroy the world, and Diddy was arrested.”

Still, Trevor Noah played his monologue a little conservatively, compared to how he presented himself after Billie Eilish won song of the year. In her acceptance speech, she called out Trump’s anti-immigration agents, saying “F*ck ICE.”

“Wow. It’s a Grammy that every artist wants,” Noah said, “almost as much as Trump wants Greenland. Which makes sense. I mean, because Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton on.”

After the audience’s reaction to the joke during the show, Noah said: “Oh, I told you, it’s my senior year. What are you going to do about it?” Then, after the show in an article from Truth Socialresponded President Donald Trump.

“Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein’s Island. FALSE!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein’s Island, or anywhere else, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, I have never been accused of being there, not even by the fake media,” the post read. “Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast. Looks like I’m going to send my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, idiot MC.”

At another point on the show, Noah joked about the president’s tendency to sue TV networks when he said the Grammys were broadcast “entirely live” because “if we edited part of the show, the president would sue CBS for $16 billion.” The comment was in reference to Trump’s recent history with CBS News and a settlement he obtained from Paramount last summer.

Nicki Minaj also caught a stray animal!

More Young Money shade? Elsewhere on the night, Trevor Noah mentioned that Nicki Minaj was absent from the Grammys audience. The room applauds. “She is still at the White House with Donald Trump discussing very important issues. » Noah joked.

This week, Minaj visited DC and congratulated the president during his accounts summit. She later visited the White Housethen attended the premiere of the film “Melania” at the Kennedy Center. She did it on other occasions in recent months, seemingly aligning with that MAGA energy. Doing a Trump impersonation, Trevor Noah said at the Grammys: “Actually, Nicki, I have the biggest ass, everyone says so, Nicki.”
