Sesko delights in ‘incredible’ win and says Man Utd are heading for more ‘great results’ under Carrick

Benjamin Sesko delighted in ‘incredible’ victory after his stoppage-time goal secured a goal Manchester United win 3-2 against Fulham.

United had taken a two-goal lead after Kevin’s injury-time stunner, but Sesko scored the winner minutes later to give the Red Devils their third successive victory under Michael Carrick.

After controlling Bruno Fernandes’ pass across goal, the substitute took a touch before coolly firing the ball into the back of the net to spark chaos at Old Trafford.

The striker told Sky Sports: “It was incredible. To score at home and score the winner is incredible. I dreamed of it and I dreamed of being able to do it.

“We all know as a team how important these results are. We’re on a really good streak right now and we just hope we can continue to work hard like this to win games.

“I’m really happy that I was able to help the team. We can continue our streak now.”

“Excellent results” will continue under Carrick

Carrick has overseen victories against Manchester City, Arsenal and now Fulham since returning to United on a caretaker basis and Sesko claims the former midfielder has instilled unity in the squad since his arrival.

He added: “It’s true, he said these things to the team several times. That’s exactly what we do.

“But it’s not just that, you can see how hard we work for each other without the ball and that also contributes to good results in the end.

“The pace of work is definitely different. Everyone is listening and occupying their spaces. In the end, that’s what counts.

“The goal is to continue like this. We want to concentrate on our work and on what we have to do. We work hard as we do and we concentrate at every moment. All this will lead to great results.”

United are now fourth in the Premier League ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool, while they are just five points behind third-placed Aston Villa.
