You don’t need a four-digit Swiss movement for knowing what time it is – or looking good doing it. One of the most wonderful things about “economical” watches today (even if it’s kinder, or more appropriate, to say “affordable”), is that brands have learned to take design inspiration from luxury watches while discreetly mastering the fundamentals: reliable movements, well-thought-out materials and proportions that don’t scream “cheap”.
