Cori Broadus and Wayne Deuce mourn the loss of their daughter
Cori Broadus shocked fans on Saturday by confirming the death of her daughter Codi Dreaux. She shared a photo of herself holding Codi on her Instagram Story and told fans that she died on Monday, January 26. “On Monday I lost the love of my life Codi” the first time mom wrote next to a pair of angel wings.
In another post, Cori shared the photos she originally posted on January 6 to her Instagram Story. The footage shows Cori lying in bed with Codi and appears to capture a moment after she finally came home after six months in the NICU due to his premature birth. “20 days later?! man, I’m sick,” Cori added.
Cori’s Fiance and Brother Cordell React to Codi Dreaux’s Death
Cori Broadus’ fiancé Wayne Deuce also reacted to the tragic loss of their daughter. He shared a photo of himself holding Codi and looking at her with the caption: “I’m the saddest since you left me Codi Dreaux. But I know you’re at peace. Dad will always love you,” Wayne wrote.
Cori’s brother Cordell Broadus also took to his own Instagram Story, posting a photo of himself with Cori, their brother Corde and Snoop Dogg with the caption: “Little sister, we had you forever.”

Cori Broadus announced the arrival of her daughter in a sweet Instagram post in February 2025, telling her followers that she arrived six months earlier. Codi was Cori and Wayne’s first child together. In September, she gave fans a glimpse of Codi and shared that her baby girl was in the NICU for over six months due to her premature birth.
“The way I’ve been through it here. It’s a roller coaster of emotions. But like I said, there’s nothing that God gives us that we can’t handle. And when we get here, we try to make sure that our love is bigger than wires and tubes and machines – and that we just stay strong for our Codi Dreaux,” Cori said in the clip.
