Bronwyn Newport talking about her for the first time separation from my husband Todd Bradley.
THE The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, 40, said People in an interview published Tuesday, January 27, despite the announcement of her separation from Bradley in December 2025, the exes still live together.
“We may be the only ones in the world who don’t have young children who nest, but we do it for our dogs,” Newport said, referring to the couple’s five boxers: Douglas, Zoe, Remy, Petey and Freddie. (Newport has a daughter, Gwen, 20, from a previous relationship.)
Newport announced their separation of the technical director after nine years of marriage in a declaration to People last month.
The reality star’s rep said that “after careful consideration, Bronwyn Newport and Todd Bradley have separated.”
“This was a mutual decision made with care and respect for each other. They ask for privacy during this time,” Bravolebrity’s rep added.
In her People During the interview, Newport admitted she still had feelings for Bradley, 66, and was hoping for an amicable split.
“I really care about Todd. It’s not something that just goes away overnight. I want the best for him. I really want to be Todd’s best friend,” she said. “I think as we get closer to that over the last few weeks, there’s a lot more of that old happiness and joy for both of us.”

“I’m not happy. It’s not what I wanted. It’s not where I hoped we would go. But from where we are, I can see wonderful things for both of us,” she added.
In fact, Newport said she’d like to one day go on a double date with Bradley and their respective future partners.
“I would love to date Todd and someone new to him in the future. I would terrorize everyone he dates and it would be so funny to me. It’s amazing. I would have all kinds of opinions about it,” she said.

Newport explained she knew the couple’s marriage was coming to an end looking back RHOSLC season 6, which premiered in September 2025 and documented some of the cracks in their marriage. (In one episode, Newport spoke about allegations that Bradley was spotted watching photos of other women during a flight from Salt Lake City to New York.)
The reality star said the show had “created a weird dynamic” between them, adding: “The cameras didn’t create our problems.”
Watching the problems in her marriage unfold on screen was “really eye-opening,” Newport said.
“I didn’t like how needy I was, and I didn’t like how upset or defensive I was. It was no longer a relationship that I felt like I wanted to move forward in,” she said.
Newport said Bradley was “really there for me” during the summer as she grieved the death of his father, Davidbut once the show began airing in September, “It was almost like that magical summer hadn’t happened. We were kind of facing some of those issues again.”
Newport spoke to Bradley about his split after attend BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas solo last November.
“Maybe it was the first time I felt like if he wasn’t [in my life]I was going to make it,” she remembers of the convention.
