Super Bowl 60 is ready and it’s a revenge: the New England Patriots against the Seattle Seahawks, by access point. Fans are already talking about the game scheduled for February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. In the meantime, Steve Diggs goes viral for his emotional reaction to his first-ever Super Bowl.
As a reminder, Tom Brady and the Patriots beat the Seahawks of Russell Wilson and Pete Carroll 11 years ago, on February 1, 2015. The final score was 28-24. This time it’s Drake Poisoning against. Sam Darnold. Two stingy defenses. A second-year head coach versus a veteran coach in his second act. And Bad bunny for the halftime show.

The New England Patriots advance to their 12th Super Bowl
2026 marks the first year the Patriots have been back in the SB since Tom Brady and Bill Belichick won their sixth ring together seven years ago. No team has played more Super Bowls than the Patriots, 11 games so far with five losses. They are tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most wins (six). The Patriots qualified for the SB 60 after beating the Denver Broncos 10-7 on Sunday in the AFC Championship Game.
“The Pats are back, baby,” Maye said. “Now I have to win one.”
Playing through a snowstorm in the second half, Maye threw for just 86 yards and ran for 65. The 23-year-old, a finalist for AP NFL MVP and Offensive Player of the Year, will become the second-youngest QB to start a Super Bowl behind Dan Marino. He is the fourth second-year QB in the last seven years to lead his team to the NFL title game.
Meanwhile, head coach Mike Vrabel attempts to become the first person to win a Super Bowl as a head coach and player on the same team.
“I can’t tell you how proud I am to be associated with these guys and this organization,” said Vrabel, a finalist for AP NFL Coach of the Year. “I won’t win it. It will be the players who win the game, I promise you. It won’t be me who wins it and I promise you that I will do everything I can and our staff to get them ready for the game.”
Seattle Seahawks quarterback leads NFC team to victory
Quarterback Sam Darnold, head coach Mike McDonald and a stifling defense led the Seahawks to the big stage for the fourth time in franchise history. They are aiming for their second Lombardi Trophy.
Darnold is now the third overall pick in 2018 with his fifth team. On Sunday, he played one of his best games to lead the Seattle Seahawks to a 31-27 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC title game. He threw for 346 yards and three touchdowns with no turnovers.
“It doesn’t matter to me,” Darnold said of the doubters he’s proven wrong. “I come to work every day with these guys. These guys in the locker room, that’s what matters to me, man. The way we’ve come to work since April in OTAs, training camps, one day at a time and here we are. We’ve done it.”
On Sunday, Coach Macdonald said he was unfazed as he entered the 2025 season as an underdog in the NFC West behind the Rams and 49ers.
“It didn’t matter to us,” Macdonald said. “It’s about us. It’s always been about us and what we do and now we’re going to the Super Bowl.”
Stefon Diggs speaks after his team’s victory earned them a SB berth
New England Patriots wide receiver Diggs spoke to the media following his team’s victory Sunday night. He’s headed to the Super Bowl for the first time in his NFL career, which spans 11 seasons. In its maintenance, he spared no emotion about this milestone!
“I’m so proud of this team man, how tough this year has been, battling through injury and coming back,” Stefon Diggs said. “Being surrounded by the right group of guys, a great quarterback, a great OT, a great team, a great head coach. It was worth it, all the hard work. We got one more.”
