The documentary is called “Wolf’s Mouth: Amanda Knox Returns to Italy” and will be available for streaming on January 26. The film follows the events of 2022, when the mother of two returned to the country where she was once imprisoned for a crime she has long maintained she did not commit.

From Knox’s perspective, “The Wolf’s Mouth” is different from the others because it focuses less on the case itself and more on how this chapter of his life still impacts him today.
Talk to The Hollywood Reporter Before the documentary’s release, Knox stressed that the experience remained unresolved for her. “It’s not just this bad thing that happened to me 20 years ago,” she said. “I’m still dealing with pain, hurt and fear.”

Documentary marks directorial debut for Knox’s husband, Christopher Robinson
The significance of “The Wolf’s Mouth” for Knox goes far beyond the depiction of this deeply personal subject.
The documentary project is being directed by her husband, Christopher Robinson, marking his first time behind the camera as a feature film director.
While it might seem like a risky choice to entrust such a high-stakes project to a first-time filmmaker, Knox is adamant that Robinson was the only man for the job.
In an interview with Seattle KOMO 4 TVshe said the world would see her through her eyes in the documentary. “These are just pictures of me in really, really tough times,” Knox explained. “And the only reason anyone has access to it is because he’s my husband.”

Amanda Knox served as executive producer of a scripted Hulu miniseries about her life
Knox is no stranger to working with Hulu, having previously served as executive producer of a scripted miniseries based on her life.
Titled “The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox,” the series premiered in 2025 and dramatized Knox’s experiences through a fictional lens.
“Tell Me Lies” actress Grace Van Patten played Knox in the lead role. The miniseries received generally favorable reviews, with several describing it as a “necessary” and “cathartic” retelling of the story from its own perspective.

The bestselling author is already working on new film and TV projects
Every screen project Knox has been involved in thus far has centered around events in his personal life. That could change soon.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Knox and her husband revealed that they are now actively developing new material, both scripted and unscripted, under their own production banner.
“Amanda and I have our own little production company, and we’re currently pursuing both scripted and unscripted stories,” Robinson told THR.

Amanda Knox also branched out into stand-up comedy
Beyond his work in film and television, Knox has also experimented with stand-up comedy in recent years.
Although this pivot feels like a very different creative path, she has already made notable achievements in the field. Among them was an opening set at a Nikki Glaser show in Seattle, where Knox performed to an audience of thousands.
She also appeared in “The Roast of Whitney Cummings,” broadcast on OnlyFans in May 2023.
If Knox and Robinson are successful, comedy will continue to play a role in their future work, with genre factoring into several of the projects they say are currently in development.
