For over two decades now, Jason Biggs has been synonymous with his famous “American Pie” scene where his character Jim is caught by his father in a compromising position with a freshly baked pie.

This scene remained etched in the memory of fans of the cult classic, who apparently did not fail to talk about it from time to time, even with his children.

Now, Biggs recounts the time he had to tell his son, Sid, about it, explaining that he even had to allow the preteen to watch it.

“They kept hearing about American Pie, pie and [asking]’Dad, what are you doing with the pie?’ and I had to have a conversation with my oldest,” the 47-year-old actor recalled in an episode of SiriusXM’s “The Julia Cunningham Show.”

The “Wedding Daze” star apparently didn’t care about the embarrassing nature of the scene and just wanted to be an honest parent to her son.

He shared that the movie still comes up periodically and said that one day, while in New York with his children, a guy “walked past all of us and literally yelled at me, ‘Hey, it’s the asshole pie,’ and I immediately looked at the boys.”

Biggs was happy, however, that his children did not hear the person’s inappropriate remark.

The New York incident appears to be part of the reason he spoke with his son, who was already becoming aware of what sex is.

“That’s my version of sex talk, isn’t it?” Biggs noted. “It’s like you want them to hear about your friends and other people at school, and how much do you want to control the narrative, and that was literally happening with ‘American Pie’.”

“He guessed it, so in a way I almost didn’t control the narrative,” he added, “but he wasn’t entirely sure. But I wanted to ask him first. I said, ‘What do you think is happening?’ I was just curious, and he guessed correctly.”

The “Orange Is The New Black” alum went further to share that it was a pretty awkward conversation he had with his son, but that apparently didn’t stop him from having it.

“He was embarrassed to say it, very embarrassed, but I said, ‘Okay. Let me show you. Let me show you what happened,’ so I showed him the scene, and he laughed and laughed,” Biggs said.

“He was a little uncomfortable, that’s for sure,” Biggs admitted. “He said I was a good actor,” he added.
