Desmond Scott is apparently preparing to start a new chapter in his life after his ex-wife Kristy Scott filed for divorce.
In a video shared via Instagram On Sunday, January 18, Desmond was seen placing various kitchen appliances and utensils into cabinets in a kitchen. After apparently unpacking, Desmond went to the grocery store to buy some supplies.
At the end of the clip, Desmond was seen in the kitchen and looking away for a moment before walking away.
“Back in the kitchen this week😏,” he captioned the post, adding in the comments section: “Also, I read all the posts and you have no idea how much your boy loves you 🫶🏽🙂↕️.”
Us every week confirmed earlier this month that Kristy – who goes by Kristy Sarah online – filed for divorce of Desmond in December 2025. Kristy and Desmond, who married in 2014, are the parents of their sons Vance and Westin.
In her filing, Kristy cited alleged infidelity as the reason for their split, noting that there is no chance of reconciliation for the duo. Kristy and Desmond would “soon stop living together as husband and wife,” the filing states. Us every week asked for comment at the time.
Desmond broke his silence on Kristy’s divorce filing on Jan. 10 in a lengthy statement on Instagram.
“I want to start by apologizing to Kristy, our family, and everyone who has been affected by the public attention surrounding this situation,” he wrote at the time. “I know this news has been disappointing to many, and I am truly sorry for the hurt it has caused.”
Desmond continued: “Kristy is the mother of my children, and that will always come first. I remain fully committed to being an active, present and loving parent to our boys, as I always have been.”
Desmond went on to note that he had made “choices” that he was “not proud of.”
“I have taken responsibility for these actions,” he wrote. “I shared this with her directly and personally, and ultimately we decided to divorce. I ask for privacy and compassion as we navigate this difficult chapter in our lives.”
Kristy, meanwhile, has yet to publicly address her divorce filing or Desmond’s statement. However, she is active on social networks. On Wednesday, January 14, Kristy hinted at her current living situation by writing via Instagram, “Same address.”
The day after, TMZ obtained footage of Desmond at a bar in Houston, Texas, kissing a mystery woman on his lap. Us every week asked for comment at the time. We later confirmed that the woman in the video was 24 years old Marissa Springer. (TMZ was the first to report.)
Following Kristy’s divorce filing, some fans speculated that the TikToker had hinted at her split from Desmond in December 2025. At the time, Kristy shared a TikTok of her having trouble cooking. Users pointed out that Desmond, who is a chef, tended to handle the kitchen duties.
“She cooks and he used to do all the cooking so it makes sense,” one user wrote in the comments section, while another claimed, “I remember when she said she would never learn to cook because she married a chef…now she’s learning…it’s really over.”
