“The Report” (2019)

The report is a political drama/thriller based on the true story of the Senate investigation into “enhanced interrogations” conducted by the CIA following the September 11 attacks. At the request of Senator Dianne Feinstein (Annette Bening), Senate investigator Daniel Jones (Adam Pilote) is leading a years-long investigation into the CIA’s actions and the agency’s attempts to cover them up.

Despite his blockage, Jones puts together a strong case against the CIA. However, the spy agency is not only allowing Jones to divulge damaging information and is threatening him with criminal charges that could bury the investigation and end his Senate career.

“Last Action Hero” (1993)

Hero of the last action is an underrated action-comedy meta film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as himself and as a movie cop, Detective Jack Slater. Austin O’Brien plays Danny Madigan, a young boy who finds himself drawn into Jack Slater’s latest film thanks to a magical movie ticket. This gives Danny a first-hand look at the craziness of Jack’s world, even though Jack sees nothing unusual in animated talking cats and other strange characters.
